Barbara Schubert will register your child with The Staten Island Developmental Disabilities Office (DDSO) at 718-982-1904
Richard Monck of the DDSO can be reached at 718-983-5232 let him know that you would like to begin the process of obtaining Medicaid Waiver Services for your child; he will let you know what needs to be done.
Ellen Blackman of the DDSO can discuss Medicaid Service Coordination. Her number is 718-982-1905.
Mary Beth Fadelici of Parent to Parent NYS is a Medicaid Service Coordinator Education and Information Parent Educator and can be reached at 1-800-405-8818.
Should your child meet the eligibility criteria for services provided by The New York State Office of Mental Retardation Developmental Disability (OMRDO) they would be able to receive a variety of services including Medicaid Waiver Services. Medicaid Service Coordination, Family Reimbursement and Respite services.

Parents and caregivers of children and teens with disabilities can plan ahead for summer with the wealth of information offered at the 24th annual free Special Camp Fair on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 11 AM to 3 PM. at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, (Entrance to Fair on Columbus Ave. near W. 60th St.) NYC . Representatives from 70 New York City day camps and sleepaway camps in the northeast will be on hand to help parents and professionals plan productive summer experiences for children with disabilities. The Fair will also feature information on travel programs, remedial education programs, volunteer and job opportunities and early childhood programs. Spanish and sign language interpreters will be available.
Visitors to the Fair will receive a free copy of the Camps 2009 Directory.
